What's New — October 26, 2026

This update gives you more AI credits to work with, lets you invite friends to Picmim, and brings "More posts this week" to your very first week. Connecting Instagram on an iPhone is smoother, and Picmim now stops the same post from going out twice.

Bonus AI credits and refer a friend

You can now hold bonus AI credits alongside your monthly AI credits. Picmim always uses your monthly credits first, so bonus credits are only spent once those run out. A new AI credit usage page shows how your credits are being used.

Every customer now has their own invite link. When a friend signs up through it, or enters your referral code when signing up, they get 400 bonus credits on their first paid plan. Once your friend has stayed on a paid plan for 14 days, you get 1,000 bonus credits.

More posts in your first week

If you are new to Picmim, your first week is the preview Pim prepared while you were setting up. "More posts this week" now works there too. Choose it from the card on Home, the New post tile or the end of your review, then pick "More like this week" or "About something specific".

Connecting Instagram on iPhone

Logging in with Instagram on an iPhone that has the Instagram app installed now stays in your browser. You no longer get sent into the app with "Something went wrong" and left there. During setup, the Instagram button now lets you choose "Log in with Instagram", which we recommend, or "Connect through Facebook".

No more duplicate posts

If the same post with the same image is scheduled to the same account less than an hour from another, Picmim now refuses it instead of publishing it twice. Repeated requests from AI assistants you have connected, such as ChatGPT, no longer create duplicate scheduled posts either. You can still share the same post as a story and a feed post, or to different accounts.

When posts you approved without opening Picmim, with auto-approve or with Approve all from the email, cannot be added to your calendar, Picmim now sends you one notice a week explaining why. The notice clears once you have dealt with it.

Smaller improvements

Pim's suggested posts now keep each caption with the image it was written for, including when you reorder suggestions and in carousels that follow the image order you chose. The language switcher now works on every page inside Picmim, on desktop and mobile, and remembers your choice.

When Pim rewrites a post about one of your products or services, the link or destination stays visible on the new image. Edits to the text on an image now stay within the space the image allows, so fewer of your edits are lost. If a replacement image on a Plan is refused, for example because another post in the plan already uses it, Picmim now tells you why. Finishing setup on a locked workspace now shows a clear message instead of an error page.
