You can now tell Instagram when a post was made with AI, and trending videos play right inside Picmim. Autopilot gets an easier way back to your chats with Pim and a calmer list of your posts, and plans come through complete more often.
Label Instagram posts made with AI
Instagram posts now have an "AI-generated content" option. Turn it on if the photo, video or audio was made or significantly changed with AI, and Instagram will show its "AI info" label on the post. It works for single posts, reels, stories and carousels, whichever way your Instagram account is connected. It's off by default, including on drafts you've already saved.
Watch trending videos without leaving Picmim
Clicking a video on the Trends page, or in the trending posts Pim shows you in chat, now opens a player inside Picmim instead of a new tab. This works for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook videos. If a video won't play, for example because it has been deleted or made private, a "Watch on" link (such as "Watch on TikTok") opens it on the network itself, and videos from other networks still open there as before. The "Photos" filter on the Trends page also no longer shows Instagram reels, so it only lists photo posts.
An easier Autopilot
The Autopilot home page now has an "Ask Pim" heading above the message box, with a "Past chats" link that takes you back to your earlier conversations with Pim. The calendar has a new "List" view next to "Month" and "Week", which shows your posts grouped by when they go out: Today, Tomorrow, This week, Next week, Later, No date yet and Earlier. The status filters above the list now show how many posts each one holds. On a phone, each post shows its date, time and status, and its actions sit behind a "⋯" button. In Autopilot the list is kept simple, with deleted posts tucked behind a "Deleted posts" link.
When you first choose how to use Picmim, Autopilot is now marked "Recommended".
More complete plans
Fewer plans fail while Pim writes your posts. When the first attempt to write a post comes back empty or is turned down, Pim now tries again a different way instead of losing the post. Plans also no longer lose posts when your choice of networks changes while a plan is being made, and plans should hold up better when lots of them are being made at once.
If you post to TikTok and other networks, your free onboarding preview now gives TikTok a post of its own instead of sharing one with your other accounts. Logos shaped like an app icon, such as a coloured rounded square, now keep their own colours on your post images instead of sometimes turning into a black square; images made before this change keep the old logo until you make them again. Pim's Visual DNA analysis also no longer fails when a screenshot of your homepage is very large.
Also improved
Pressing "Create Plan" on a plan card in your chat with Pim more than once no longer creates extra plans: once the plan exists, the button changes to "Open Plan". Opening a photo or video while you edit or preview a post now shows the whole thing without scrolling, and on a phone it slides in full screen with a back arrow. Adding, editing or deleting a comment in a post's Activity no longer shows an error message, and the comment box clears after you post. On the Analytics page, a number's definition now opens at a readable width instead of as a narrow strip, and jumping to your posts from the chart no longer pushes the top of the page out of view. The chats page now writes "Pim" instead of "PIM".
