Picmim Autopilot is here

Picmim Autopilot runs your social media one week at a time. Pim, your AI assistant, picks a topic, writes the posts and makes the images, and you approve each post before it goes out. It's the biggest update we've ever shipped, and it gives you back the hours you used to spend planning.

How Autopilot works, week by week

Each week Pim picks a topic for your posts, based on what it knows about your business: your brand story, what you sell, what your customers care about, where you are and what people say about you. When something is trending in your industry, you may see a Trending now option too. Prefer a different direction? Choose Change this week's topic, pick another one or describe it in your own words, and Pim rewrites the week around it.

You don't need to wait around while Pim works. We'll email you when your week is ready, and your home page shows the week at a glance: which posts are waiting for your OK, what's scheduled, and how your recent posts are doing.

Approve your week with a swipe

Go through your posts one at a time. On your phone, swipe right to approve a post and left to skip it, or use the Approve and Skip buttons on any device. Approved posts go straight to your calendar at the time shown on the card.

  • In a hurry? Approve all schedules every remaining post in one go, after a quick check of what's going out.
  • Changed your mind? Undo gives you 10 seconds to take an approval back.
  • Want to tweak something first? Choose Edit to change the caption yourself, or ask Pim to change it for you, such as "Make it shorter".

Your week-ready email has an Approve all link too, so you can sign off a whole week straight from your inbox, or choose Review one by one.

Skip a post and tell Pim why

When a post isn't right, skip it. Pim then asks "What was off about it?" so you can pick a reason or two, such as Wrong topic, Too salesy, Too long, Wrong tone or Image does not work, and add a note if you like. It's entirely optional: choose No thanks and the post is simply skipped. Every answer helps Pim get the next week closer to what you want.

Ask Pim for another post

Skipped a post and want something in its place? Once you've been through the week, choose Ask Pim for another post. You'll see Pim writing the replacement, and it comes straight into review, ready for you to approve or skip. The posts you've already approved stay exactly as they are.

Approve for me if I'm busy

Some weeks you won't have time to review, so there's a new setting for exactly that. It stays off until you switch it on in Autopilot settings. When it's on and a week is still undecided, Pim sends you a heads-up a day after the week is ready and schedules the remaining posts after two days. You can still edit or pull back any of those posts until they go out.

With the setting off, nothing goes out until you approve it. If you're away for a while, Pim moves undecided posts on to the following week rather than piling up new ones, and pauses Autopilot until you're back.

Pim learns what you like

Pim learns from the posts you approve, skip and edit, and from how your posts perform, so topics that do well for you come round sooner. Open What Pim has learned in Autopilot settings to see its notes, split into What works for you and What to avoid.

You stay in control of those notes. Remove or correct anything that isn't right, add a note of your own (such as "Keep captions short and friendly"), and when Pim spots something in your edits, choose Keep or Not quite. Now and then Pim tries something new, and your home page shows you how it went.

Your photos, your look

Add photos of your products, your team or your space, and Pim builds your posts around them, using the ones it hasn't used yet first. Pim tells you when you're running low, and if you run out, it makes the images itself until you add more. You can stop Pim using any photo at any time. Pim works from your Brand DNA, the voice, look and audience it has learned for your business, and you can open it from your home page at any time.

Your pace, on every plan

Choose 2, 3 or 5 posts a week, which accounts Pim posts to, and whether some of your posts should be Stories. You can pause Autopilot whenever you like, and switch back to the full app at any time without losing any of your posts or plans. Autopilot is included on every plan.
