Plans let Pim turn a simple brief into a reviewable lineup of social posts. Choose your goal, channels, timeframe, language, emoji preference, and optional source links, then add assets and swipe through suggestions before anything is scheduled.
What a Plan Does
A Plan is a guided AI workflow for building several posts at once. Pim gathers your brief, creates captions and visuals, lets you keep or decline each suggestion, and schedules only the posts you publish from the Plan.
- Open Plans from the workspace sidebar.
- Start a new Plan from the Plans list or from a Pim chat handoff.
- Answer the brief questions so Pim understands the goal, topic, channels, and timeframe.
- Review the generated suggestions and keep only the posts that fit.
- Publish the Plan when the schedule looks right.
Tip: Nothing from a Plan is scheduled until you publish the Plan. You can review, edit, and decline suggestions first.
Answering the Plan Brief
The brief is the planning context Pim uses. Good answers help Pim create useful captions, match your channels, and avoid generic ideas.
- Choose the goal, such as finding customers, promoting an offer, building awareness, educating your audience, increasing engagement, or staying consistent.
- Describe what the posts should focus on: your brand, a product, an offer, tips, customer stories, or a mix.
- Select the connected accounts or channels the Plan should run on.
- Pick a timeframe, such as one week, two weeks, one month, or a custom range.
- Add useful notes, source links, caption language, and emoji level before continuing.
Tip: Source links are useful for product pages, menus, events, offers, and landing pages Pim should understand before writing.
Accounts and Channels
Pim needs at least one connected social account to build a Plan. The channels you choose decide where suggestions can be scheduled and which platform limits Pim should respect.
- Connect accounts before starting a Plan if the setup screen says no accounts are available.
- Choose multiple channels when you want Pim to build a cross-platform lineup.
- Review each suggestion before publishing because platform limits and account selections can differ per post.
- If a suggestion needs a different destination, edit the post and adjust its accounts before publishing the Plan.
Adding Assets
Assets are optional, but photos and videos help Pim match your visual style. You can add media before generation or replace media during review.
- Use the asset step to browse the Media Library, import from Canva, upload photos, or drop files into the upload area.
- Start the Plan without assets if you want Pim to generate ideas first.
- During review, replace an image from Canva, existing assets, a new upload, or an AI-generated visual when available.
- Changing an image updates only that Plan suggestion until the Plan is published.
Generation and Progress
After you start the Plan, Pim builds the strategy, creates posts, and may create visuals. Progress updates appear while suggestions are being prepared.
- Wait while Pim builds the Plan and creates posts for the selected timeframe.
- Begin reviewing as suggestions appear; you do not always need to wait for the entire Plan to finish.
- If generation fails, Picmim does not create placeholder posts from the failed attempt.
- Start a new Plan or contact support if failures repeat.
Warning: AI generation can use AI credits. If your credits run out, you can keep publishing existing content, but Pim cannot create or rewrite Plan content until credits are available.
Swipe Review
Plan review is built around quick decisions. Keep suggestions that are useful, decline suggestions that miss the mark, and use the keyboard when you want to move fast.
- Swipe right or choose Keep to reserve a suggestion for publishing.
- Swipe left or choose Decline to set a suggestion aside.
- Use the left arrow to decline and the right arrow to keep when keyboard shortcuts are active.
- Open a suggestion to preview details, edit the caption, replace media, adjust accounts, or reschedule.
- Review reserve variants if you want more options before finalizing the Plan.
Editing and Rewrites
You can improve suggestions before they become real scheduled posts. Use quick actions for common changes or ask Pim for a custom rewrite.
- Open a suggestion and choose Edit post to change the caption, title, accounts, media, or scheduled time.
- Use quick actions such as shorter hook, friendlier tone, more direct CTA, or generate visual.
- Use Tell Pim what to change for custom rewrite instructions.
- Declined posts and better variants can appear in the work queue for additional review.
Publishing a Plan
Publishing a Plan schedules the kept posts. Declined suggestions remain outside the calendar, and no post is published unless it is accepted and included in the final Plan.
- Open the Schedule preview to review dates, times, channels, and kept posts.
- Accept at least one post before publishing the Plan.
- Choose Publish Plan when the lineup feels right.
- After publishing, scheduled posts appear in the Calendar and can be reviewed like other scheduled content.
Warning: Deleting a Plan later removes the Plan and its suggestions. If the Plan was already published, scheduled posts stay in your Calendar.
Managing Plans
The Plans list shows active and archived Plans. Use it to return to drafts, reopen review, restore archived work, or remove Plans you no longer need.
- Open Plans to see active Plans and their status.
- Open a Plan to continue review, check drafts, or inspect the overview.
- Archive a Plan when you want to hide it without deleting it.
- Restore archived Plans from the archived section.
- Delete a Plan only when you no longer need the Plan record or suggestions.
