Facebook Posts
Use Picmim to manage Facebook publishing from one place, whether you are scheduling feed posts, Reels, or Page Stories. This guide focuses on the Facebook post formats that Picmim currently supports.
Overview
Picmim supports Facebook Page publishing for the main feed formats, Reels, and Facebook Page Stories. You can schedule content in advance, preview it, and publish automatically when the account has the right permissions.
Supported Formats
The main Facebook content formats supported in Picmim are focused on Page publishing workflows.
- Text and link-style feed posts.
- Single-image and single-video feed posts.
- Multi-photo posts with up to 10 images.
- Reels and Facebook Page Stories.
Media Requirements
Choose the Facebook format that matches the uploaded media so the post can publish cleanly.
- Use single-image or single-video uploads for standard feed posts when you do not need a gallery.
- Use a multi-photo layout when the post should publish several images together.
- Prepare vertical media for Reels and Stories.
- Review the Facebook preview before scheduling to confirm image order and caption formatting.
Scheduling Behavior
Facebook publishing happens directly from the Picmim editor. You can customize the Facebook version of a multi-platform post before scheduling it.
- Select the Facebook Page account you want to publish to.
- Choose the content format that matches your media.
- Check the preview for the Page feed, Reel, or Story layout.
- Schedule the post or publish immediately.
Platform Limits
Facebook has different media rules depending on whether you publish to the Page feed, Reels, or Stories.
- Feed posts support standard text, images, videos, and link sharing.
- Multi-photo posts support up to 10 images.
- Facebook Page Stories support one image or one video per Story.
- Groups support feed-style posts, but Story publishing is a Page workflow.
Unsupported or API-Limited Features
Picmim supports Facebook Page Story publishing, but it follows the media rules exposed by Facebook's API. Facebook Groups support feed posts, not Story publishing from Picmim.
- Use a Facebook Page when you need scheduled Story publishing.
- Keep Story media to one image or one video per scheduled Story.
- Review account permissions if a Page can publish feed posts but not Story content.
Tips and Troubleshooting
When a Facebook post fails, the usual causes are missing Page permissions, the wrong content format, or media that does not match the selected layout.
- Confirm you connected the correct Page or Group account.
- Check whether the post should be a feed post, Reel, or Story.
- Reconnect the Page if permissions were changed in Facebook Business tools.
- Review the media count when using a multi-photo post.
